Rauhnacht 11: November, Quiet and Gratitude
November is grey, quiet and a little introspective, and the eleventh night matches it. It stands for gratitude and for the courage to be still. No plans, no tasks, just a deep breath at the end of a long stretch.
Gratitude does not mean everything was perfect. It means you notice what held you up even when things were messy. Think of people, places and small habits that carried you through the year, and give them a quiet thank you.
🕯️ Tonight’s ritual
Sit in the dark or in soft light for ten minutes without your phone. Think of five things, big or tiny, you are thankful for, and say each one out loud. If a candle keeps you company, never leave it alone in the room.
✍️ Question for your notebook
Who or what held me up this year, and have I said thank you?
