Minor Arcana · Cups
Five of Cups
loss · regret · what remains
Honour the loss, then turn toward what remains.
⬆️ Upright
A cloaked figure mourns three spilled cups and does not turn around. Behind them two cups still stand, and a bridge leads home. The Five of Cups acknowledges disappointment and says it is allowed to hurt. It does not say stay there forever. Feel it, name it and then look at what is still yours.
⬇️ Reversed
Reversed, you begin to turn around. Acceptance arrives, or you finally let go of an old story. It can also mean you are stuck replaying the loss. Talking it through with someone you trust helps either way.
💞 Love
A sting from the past, a disappointment or a longing for what could have been. Give the feeling space without blaming yourself. The relationship you still have, or the one ahead, deserves your eyes too.
💼 Career
A setback stings, a plan fell through or a chance slipped by. Learn the lesson, skip the self-punishment. Look at what survived and build from there.
👁 Nebu says: grieve properly, then count the cups still standing. There are more than you think.
